Silicon Laboratories and Quintic Settle Lawsuit

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug 26, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Silicon Laboratories Inc. (Nasdaq: SLAB) today announced the settlement of its patent infringement lawsuit against Quintic Corporation, a California semiconductor company, and its Chinese affiliate. The companies agreed to a patent licensing and royalty arrangement that provides Quintic with a limited license to Silicon Labs' international portfolio of FM radio patents.

Silicon Laboratories holds nearly 1,000 patents and patent applications related to mixed-signal ICs, and a significant number relate to RF and radio design.
