Silicon Laboratories' Fellows Program recognizes the highest level
of technical achievement and contribution by a Silicon Laboratories
engineer. Silicon Laboratories' Fellows are selected based on proven
mastery of multiple aspects of mixed-signal design, support for the
mentoring and continuing education of the Silicon Laboratories
technical team, significant contributions to the company's technology
and a considerable, direct impact on business success through
technical innovation.
"Tim embodies what we value in a mixed-signal designer -- expert
level analog design coupled with an equally strong understanding of
digital design and signal processing. Tim has consistently led the
design of market-leading products and has also been instrumental in
product conception," said Jeff Scott, Fellow and Silicon Laboratories
co-founder. "His work ethic, flexibility and willingness to embrace
any challenge have set him apart for some time. It is with pleasure
that we include this honor to Tim's long list of accomplishments."
Mr. Dupuis joined the company in 1997 and began work on the
company's first product, the silicon direct access arrangement (DAA).
Mr. Dupuis conceived of the ISOmodem® embedded modem and led the
design of this product which has since captured approximately 25
percent market share of set-top boxes. Mr. Dupuis was also part of the
design team that developed the first CMOS power amplifier (PA), and he
is currently leveraging the RF techniques developed for the PA for
advanced products in digital power.
Prior to joining Silicon Laboratories, Mr. Dupuis was a design
engineer at Oak Technology where he was the lead on audio product
development. Previously he was a design manager at Crystal
Semiconductor, a subsidiary of Cirrus Logic, working on delta sigma
modulators and audio codecs. He holds a bachelor's degree in
electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario,
Canada. Mr. Dupuis holds more than 40 patents in the area of
mixed-signal ICs.
